Happy New Year!
Happy New Year to everyone, may 2008 bring lots of happiness and joy to everyone!
I have to say 2007 was an unusual year for us being that nothing too exciting happened to us other than the fact that Teal decided to let me live just a bit longer. Teal continues to work for Florida Hospital doing cancer research, which is pretty exciting since she gets to test the latest cancer drugs. Who knows someday they’ll have a cure and she’ll be the one that did the trial of the cure. But the best thing is that she really enjoys what she does and is pretty happy being where she is at. On the home front she manages well despite having 8 kids to take care of (pitaboy, pitagirl, 3 dogs, 2 cats, and 1 husband), things could be better here, but hey I can’t go easy on her then she’ll have no excitement in her life.
Pitaboy continues to improve this year. We had him tested for dyslexia which they could not determine because he had some other deficiency that had to be corrected, so we had him in both vision and speech therapy. He has made steady progress and hopefully he’ll continue into the new year. He continues to progress in Karate as he is now a red/black belt. He’s also enrolled in the masters program which teaches him weapons and of course he’s excited about that as he’s already had 2 classes and can’t wait till they teach the katana. This is a reward for him as he’s really worked on controlling his anger which he’s only had a couple of episodes this past year unlike the previous years. Really glad to see that he is trying to improve himself. As for school he continues to excel, with the exception of reading comprehension which is why we have him in vision/speech therapy. So we look forward to this year to see how much more he improves!
The princess continues to act like the princess. She definitely acts like her mother, cute and such a pain in the arse but hey I wouldn’t have it any other way. We still struggle with her in school, mostly paying attention, quit talking, and do the work without fussing. I’m hoping 2008 she’ll actually start behaving properly but hey she’s my pitagirl so I kind of doubt it.
Well I hope 2008 is a quiet one, as even years have never been too good to me so we’ll have to wait and see.
