Yes he’s now a year old our little Cairn Terrier. I have to admit that he has liven up the household with his energetic little body who is ever so happy to see his people come home. The kids absolutely enjoy having him around plus he’s the best alarm clock for the kids! But I’m sure our cats would disagree as he never gives them a break especially little Oreo who can’t go anywhere in the house without being stalked by the gizzy man.
Well I knew it couldn’t last but last week was a rough week for the PITAboy. He had fallen back to his old habits in getting angry and not listening. It wasn’t as bad as last year where he would hit other kids but still bad enough to cause a distraction in his class. I finally had enough and laid down the law with him which I’m pretty sure that it irked Teal quite a bit but at this point I’m extremely frustrated with him as we’ve been dealing with this for now 4 years. The therapy and books that we’ve read and their solutions have not helped at all so now we’re doing this my way which may seem harsh but as I say the other options we’ve tried have shown no results and I’ve had it at this point. Right now if he wants his Nintendo DS he has to behave everyday and if he does he can play it on the weekend. But one more incident and I’ll have to take extreme measures with him which honestly I’m not sure what I’ll do but it won’t be taking away something or limiting his options it will be worse.
I hope that we don’t come to this.
